I am a fifth-year graduate student in Human Development and Family Studies, which is one of three major departments in the School of Human Ecology. Fitting with the School's focus on scholarship to improve the quality of human life, my interests focus on understanding how people's relationships--both inside and outside of their families--can affect their physical and psychological well-being. While I began graduate school with the intention to study older adults (and although my heart still belongs to gerontology), I have become increasingly interested in studying people's ENTIRE lives--"entire" in the sense of life from birth to death, as well as "entire" in the sense of life's many important domains. Outside of academic pursuits, I like spending time by visiting with meaningful others, doing everyday activities outside (in pleasant weather preferably), and finding movies, TV shows, and magazine articles to enjoy.
